Not sure if this is an MS thing, or something else that happens to me.
The glands behind my ears are inflamed again. The whole area “right behind the ears” becomes inflamed, achey and painful. Not terribly painful, the inflammation is certainly nothing anyone else would notice. Just annoying and…
You know… this is so familiar… no the symptom/annoying thing itself… but that sense of is it? isn’t it? I hope it sorts itself and your ibuprofen do the trick.

I had a conversation with another carer recently. This conversation took place on a Friday night but it only really began after we’d wished each other a good weekend. And we both recognised the truth that, although the weekend was about to begin, there would be no distinction between a weekday and…
I hope they’ll listen too. I really do.

Far out some girls look stupid on Facebook, what’s with the lean to one side and tilt head? Since when did Multiple Sclerosis become a fashionable? Maybe this is the new anorexia…
I’m not sure I get this…. but If MS is fashionable right now there’s only one reason…. it’s because i’ve got it and I’m a trendsetting mother trucka.

I’ve just given this a little thought….
and my conclusion is….
It’s not as fun to think about as the zombie apocalypse that i have been planning oh so carefully for for a long time now.

WHOLLOP! KA-POW! BOOOOOOM!
Boomtown Fair 2012
We bought tickets for this festival at the weekend… Man, I’m so stoked and excited… It’s been a while since i did what i do best in summertime…. which is dance my boney arse off with cider in hand and grass underfoot!
However…. I’m also bricking it a bit… I know the site (we used to go to Matterley Bowl for old one day raves years ago) and It involves some hills and quite a bit of walking…. I hope I’ll have enough ‘oomph’ to do it.
I hope it’s not too hot. I’ll wilt like a cut flower. I hope it’s not wet. I’ll run out of energy double quick if i can’t sit down or I have to wade through rivers of mud.
I hope that the people who are going along with me (not people who know me massively well) are understanding if i need breaks, take time to get places or call it a night early.
I hope all falls in to place perfectly and everything will be fine and all the conditions will be perfect and I can keep going all weekend.
This is very very exciting….. but has also left me more than a little anxious. not quite sleepless nights anxious…. yet.. but definitely left me worrying.
Some good friends will be there too, as their band’s playing (the New Town Kings) and although I’m usually the one who ends up picking up their girlfriends from the dancefloor (gotta love Lisa!) I’m pretty sure i’ll be able to look to Tommy, Stu, Scotty and Pony for a bit of support and love…. In fact… I think i need to go have a natter with Tommy… it may alleviate some of my worries….. Or compound them should they have plans of debauchery, decadence and out and out hedonism. gulp.
But…. You know what?
Bring it on!!!
LOLOLOL This is a hilarious question!
Yes. Yes, young person. Some of us lived through the entire 80s— and even before that! We’re known as the Ancient Ones.
I was born in 1980! I was there for the whole Decade :D
Wow…
Now I feel old! there are a hell of a lot of yoof using tumblr but there’s a few older souls out there too. probably people’s mums and dads spying on their kids… but they post some culturally relevant stuff to me!
I was born in 1973… I vividly remember the silver jubilee, I owned a ZX81, my next door neighbour owned a Sinclair C5, i still think i need to press play and record and the same time…
I still enjoy tumblr though.

John Peel’s Record Collection is here and it is so cool. You can’t stream everything unless it’s already on Spotify, but the A-section of his vinyl archive has been scanned and cataloged (B-Z are coming), there are links to his Peel Sessions and podcasts, and there are some never-before-seen home videos to watch. I’m not getting any work done today.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
John peel was and still is my hero and probably influenced me more than anyone else…
